The Love Story
Hannah and Chris met each 9 years ago on Facebook, and Hannah was 17 at that time. They chatted online for a few days before they finally met in person. Chris knocked on Hannah's door and was firstly worried because he had only seen a few of her photos online. "It could even be a 40+ male or female." He thought to himself. "But when the door opened, there she was, the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."
Chris had tried to put into words how he felt about Hannah. But instead what he had ended up with was a disorganised list of random observations about her. It was meant to be cute little moments about why he loves her, but it turned out to be a series of random thoughts about her:
She thinks I am a bad dancer.
She says I am fine, which is a clear indication of I need to fix this.
She tempts to eat as much as me, failing meaning I get a second serve every time.
If she has lost something, she automatically accuses me of it, then tells me how much she loves me after finding it on her side of the bed.
She drinks as much as me, she talks more than me. She goes out of her way to help others, expecting nothing in return. She's one of the kindest people I've ever met. People tend to like her more than me.
Chris is a tall and tough bloke. But he is actually really a caring person, always think about the others.
For this beautiful wedding, Chris had become the groomzilla and the one who actually did most of the wedding planning. On the other hand, Hannah was so chilled in comparison and just been helping out here and there lol.
Hannah has been really supportive to Chris, through every decision, and every idea he's ever had. They fell deeply in love with each other, and they were both lucky enough to say, they were marrying their best friend.
The Wedding Venue
Fenix is one of the most beautiful riverside wedding venues on the edge of the busy Melbourne city area, filled with natural light, and the feels of an oasis. With a spectacular view of the river, surrounded by greenery, your wedding day will be the one to remember!
Comprising of two event spaces and with the ability to cater for as few as 50 people and as many as 350 people, Fenix is sure to impress as a Melbourne event venue with the true wow factor.
Wedding Photography
The banks of the Yarra River and Main Yarra Trail provide a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding photography.
On a sunny day, trees on the side of the trail create soft and misty lighting for lots of intimate & romantic images. Whereas on a rainy day, The vast undercover spaces below Victoria Bridge can be used as an industrial & urban style background for some creative wedding photos.
If you want to get some photos outside the venue, you can always go to Studley Park Boathouse which is located inside Yarra Bend Parks. It's only 5 mins drive from Fenix, and it has a spacious picnic area with lots of greenery plus an iconic suspension bridge.
Our favourite photos of the day are the bird-eye-view angle shots of the couple on the Main Yarra Trail, taken from above on the bridge. Plus the sparkler photos into the night on the empty street. It felt like a moment forever.
Wedding Videography
Working with this lovely couple was so easy. The highlight we made was focused on the little genuine moments from the day. It has a very happy and upbeat vibe to start with and then we mixed in the emotional part. The couple loved the video so much.
