Park Street St Kilda

Not far from busy St Kilda beach and Luna Park, hidden from crowds, you will discover the art of typical Melbourne backstreets. Mixed with contemporary and heritage-listed houses and cottages, covered by tall plane trees, Park St will provide cool shade in a warm sunny afternoon.

This is one of our favourite spots, the large red brick wall with white stripes at the corner of Mary St and Park St. This side wall of a Victorian era terraced house makes an outstanding backdrop with a contrasty, rustic feeling. The red colour is just simply a perfect match for the wedding dress and bouquet.

Other nearby locations: St Kilda Beach, St Kilda Pier, Prince Hotel, Catani Gardens.

Gem Pier in Williamstown is known as one of the most popular wedding photography locations by its stunning view of Melbourne city skyline.

However, also being one of the busiest business districts, you might be struggling with local traffic and parking, as well as crowded pedestrians in the background. A photoshoot in the area might be a quite stressful and tiring experience.

If you want to get your wedding photos done at a much quieter place, then look no further than Hatt Reserve. Located on the south shore of Williamstown, you will find spacious tranquil parks, wetlands, and sandy Williamstown Beach.

Williamstown Botanical Gardens is also right opposite the reserve. The historical palm avenue and charming Edwardian ornamental pond are among the best backdrops for your aesthetic wedding day portraits.

One of our favourite spot in this area is the old Williamstown Anglers Club jetty.

Newport Lakes Reserve

Newport Lakes is a bushland oasis created from a former bluestone quarry in the middle of busy Newport. The park is a great place for a picnic with family and friends, for a leisurely walk around the twin lakes and surrounding bushland.

The large steppingstones across the lake make a wonderful backdrop. And the lake water can also create beautiful light reflections.

Footscray Park is a regional open space with extensive garden beds and other facilities. It provides views to the city skyline, Flemington Racecourse and connections to the Maribyrnong River Trail.

Footscray Park has the most intact Edwardian period public garden in Victoria.

Our favourite background is the long downhill walk which makes a timeless image for any bride and groom.

And taking a relaxed walk along Maribyrnong riverbank with no strangers looking at you, you can truly express yourself.
