When Kayla and John first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so thrilled – they were planning a laid back countryside wedding with an outdoor ceremony and a lovely meal with friends and family for the reception. Kayla and John are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

THE EXCITEMENT BEFORE THE WEDDING

I started at the hotel, where the bridal party was getting ready, and it was really exciting, because all the girls were there. Kayla wore a lacy dress and John wore a navy suit and they looked really perfect.

THE WEDDING

The wedding took place at the hotel itself, and was a gorgeous garden ceremony. They had their own vows, which was just magical. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then they were showered with confetti.

THE AFTERNOON

The wedding reception took place in the restaurant, which was adorned with rustic decorations. It was so wonderfully personalised.

It was a bright and sunny day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests enjoyed the cocktails, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from our portrait session is the couple together on the balcony. Check it out below!

During the reception they played lawn games, which gave the afternoon a really chilled vibe. For dinner they had a fancy meal in a gorgeous restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, everyone hit the dancefloor and kept the party going all night. They also had a DJ, which was so entertaining.
